Al-Nimra School may take photographs or videos of pupils during school activities, events or lessons.

Where consent is required, photographs or videos will only be used for the purposes covered by the consent provided by the pupil’s parent or guardian.

Parents or guardians may withdraw their consent for future use of photographs or videos by contacting the school.

We will always aim to use photographs and videos responsibly and with consideration for the privacy and safety of our pupils.

We may hold relevant medical, health or emergency information where this is necessary to help us protect a pupil’s health, safety and welfare while they are attending Al-Nimra School.

Access to this information is restricted to authorised members of staff who need it for an appropriate purpose.

Access to pupil and parent information is restricted to authorised Al-Nimra School staff who require the information to carry out their responsibilities.

We do not sell personal information or provide it to other organisations for their own marketing purposes.

7. How Long We Keep Information

Pupil information is generally retained while the pupil is enrolled at Al-Nimra School.

When a pupil leaves the school, we review the information held and securely delete or dispose of information that is no longer required.

Some records may need to be retained for longer where there is a legal, safeguarding, financial or other legitimate reason for doing so.

We do not intend to retain personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary.

Pupil and parent records may be maintained electronically, including in spreadsheets stored securely on school-managed devices.

Access to these records is restricted to authorised Al-Nimra School staff who require the information to carry out their responsibilities.

Al-Nimra School takes appropriate measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Devices containing personal information are protected against unauthorised access.
